Head Coach Erik Goodrich
I am very pleased to be the Head Coach of Storm 2010! I am excited to meet everyone and get to know all my swimmers this summer. I believe we will have a terrific time this summer and look forward to seeing all of you at registration.
Let me tell you a bit about myself. I am originally from Glendale, Arizona. I swam competitively since I was 8 years old – much like many of you and continued throughout my college career. I swam competitively for over fourteen years and still enjoy being around the pool and all the excitement that swim teams provide.
While in High School, I broke almost every single school record. I was on Varsity all four years, a 12 time Conference Champion, and team MVP my junior and senior years. I broke records at my High School in the 50 Free, 100 Free, 100 Back, 100 Fly, 200 Free, and 500 free. I also broke records in the 200 Medley Relay, 400 Medley Relay, and 200 Medley Relay. I was also a Junior National Qualifier, Sectional Qualifier, and State Qualifier.
While at Ball State, I competed all four years and on the college varsity team. I placed in the top 8 in the Mid American Conference (MAC). In 2001, I was in the top 8 at the MAC Championship for 100 Freestyle. In 2002, I was in the top 3 for the 200 Freestyle Relay, 400 Freestyle Relay, and top 8 in the 100 Free. In 2003 and in 2004, I placed in the top 8 for 200 Freestyle Relay, 400 Freestyle Relay, 200 Free, 200 Free, 50 Free, and 100 Fly. While in school, I was also on the Student Athletic Advisory Board which afforded me the opportunity to help manage several athletic teams. At the end of my college career, I earned my Bachelors Degree in Sports Management with a Minor in Business Administration.
My coaching career began as the Assistant Coach for Mountain Ridge High School in Glendale, AZ which whetted my desire to develop young swimmers to achieve their potential. After I moved to Colorado, I began looking for opportunities to coach.
Now that I am the Head Coach of the Castle View High School Women’s swim team, I have brought our team to our first 3 wins in their team history, and we will hopefully go to state this year. I have also taken 14 of my girls to Regional’s in 2007-2008 and will once again have a go at Regional’s, but with 17 girls this time around. All my swimmers have improved their times in every event and have broken every school record. I couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishments and dedication to the sport of swimming.
I am looking forward to providing direction to improve all of your swimming skills and believe that swimming is a great team sport where you can excel individually. I also want you to know that I truly believe in the vision of what our team is all about. The team is small, friendly and welcoming. It is an opportunity to have fun, develop swimming skills, and friendly competition.
Again, I am enthusiastic to meet all of you and so glad I am now part of the Storm Family. We are going to have a great summer together.

Hello All! My name is Annalisa and I’m happy to be joining the Storm as your assistant coach this season. I know we'll have a great summer, filled with fun and learning. I can’t wait to start getting to know all of you. I firmly believe that involvement in sports provides more than athletic ability, but provides life lessons that serve athletes their entire lives. Those lessons include working as a team, seeking one’s individual best, and developing discipline to balance the various activities involved in school and life.
Swimming has been a huge part of my life since I was 3 years old. I joined my first competitive team when I was 5, and continued through my collegiate career. I was a member of the Foothills Swim Team from 1990 through 2002, where I hold many breaststroke and medley relay records. I was a varsity swimmer for Kennedy High School all four years that I attended. I participated in the all-state swim meet all four years in high school, was a 14 time junior Olympian, and sectional qualifier. I was ranked one of the top breaststrokers in my age-group in the region in 1999. I was awarded the MVP for Foothills swim team in 1996, 1998 and 1999 and was named MVP of Kennedy’s swim team all four years of high school. I was awarded the Jim Hartmann Award for top female athlete in Denver in 2002.
My coaching career began in 2006. I was the assistant coach for Kennedy High School swim team, where my girls accomplished they're best record since I attended Kennedy 4 years earlier. Currently, I am a swim instructor at SafeSplash swim school. There, I am considered an expert in stroke and race technique.
I completed my Bachelors of Science in Aviation Technology from Metropolitan State College of Denver, where I was awarded a full athletic scholarship for swimming. My passion besides swimming is flying. I am a commercial multi-engine rated pilot, and am patiently waiting for the economy to pick back up so the airlines will start hiring again.
I thoroughly enjoy teaching and coaching and am excited to be working with team members to accomplish their individual goals and improve stroke technique. I can’t wait to see all your smiling faces March 6th at registration. We’re going to have a great season!
